Plan A Reunion
Development and Alumni Relations
Curious to see what's happening at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine? How long has it been since you've been home? Join us for the Homecoming All-Alumni Reunion and Reception, including campus tours on October 21, 2016. We will be celebrating the reunion classes of 1976, 1991 and 2006. Ann Jobe, M.D. '86 will be recognized as our Alumnus of the Year so we are also extending a special welcome to the class of 1986. We have invited the current and emeritus faculty and I think you'll be pleased to see some familiar faces.
In the past, individual reunion classes have planned activities together, in addition to joining us for the hosted reception. It just takes one class representative or a small group to step up and make a few plans to make your reunion special. That person should be you! Reno alumni, I'm looking at you, invite your friends to "come home" and back to campus!
To give you a sense of how easy it can be, my reunion class met for burgers and beers near campus on Saturday and shared dinner at Rapscallions after the reception on Friday. It was easy, casual and came together over a few email blasts. We have had classmates generously open their homes for get-togethers but there are also many new and interesting places to meet up in Reno. You might like The Vine or The Depot on 4th Street, Craft Wine and Beer on Martin Street in Midtown or old favorites near campus, The Wal, Archies and the Pub N Sub.
There's definitely no pressure to organize separate events, but if you want to, then let the Alumni Association help! We can send email blasts to your classmates or share your plans on the web site. To contact your class or for questions about the planned Homecoming events, please contact alumni relations at email@example.com. Also, please join us for the upcoming Homecoming Alumni Reunion and Reception on October 21 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
UNR has several all-school events planned that week as well so maybe you want to attend the Homecoming Gala, Howl with the Pack at a tailgate party, watch the big game or March from the Arch — find out more about the all-school events.
Let's keep the traditions alive at Nevada!
