White Coat Ceremony
School of Medicine Alumni Association
Each year, approximately 70 outstanding scholars have the honor of joining the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine when they are formally welcomed as the newest class of medical students at the annual White Coat Ceremony.
The Arnold P. Gold Foundation White Coat Ceremony welcomes entering medical students and launches these new students into the practice of medicine before beginning their course work. Students are welcomed by the Vice President of Health Sciences and Dean of the School of Medicine, the University of Nevada, Reno President and respected leaders who represent the value system of the school. Students receive and are cloaked in their first white coats by the Dean and the Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs.
The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Alumni Association proudly supports this milestone event by providing the coats and patches for each new student.
