ECHO Clinics

Third Wednesday of each month • 12:15–1 p.m.
Next: Wednesday, April 19, 2017

If you would like to submit a case for discussion at one of the upcoming clinics, please complete a Geriatric Case Presentation Template and fax to (775) 327-5112 by noon on the day prior to the clinic.

Under the guidance of the Medical Director of the Sanford Center for Aging you will learn to enhance your ability to care for your older patients by learning up-to-date information about available screening tools, assessments, best practices and resources for you, your patients, and caregivers.

The Geriatric Series is led by Steven Phillips, M.D. He serves as the medical director for the Sanford Center for Aging. He is board certified in internal medicine, has added qualifications in geriatric medicine, and is certified as a medical director. Dr. Phillips has more than 25 years experience in the field of geriatrics.

Kelley Macmillan, Ph.D., MSW will also participate as a speaker in the series. Dr. Macmillan serves as the associate director of community and social services for the Sanford Center for Aging and is on faculty in the School of Social Work. He has a provisional social work license in Nevada; however, he has more than 30 years of experience in the field of social work in health and home care settings, of which is mostly focused on the care of older adults.
