Department of Family and Community Medicine: Las Vegas
Our Department offers an intense 12 month Obstetrics fellowship for successful graduates of accredited Family Medicine residency programs. This yearlong experience at University Medical Center provides motivated individuals the skills necessary to deliver advanced maternal/child care including prenatal ultrasound, medical complications of pregnancy, antepartum assessment and operative obstetrics. This experience is conducted in conjunction with the Department of OB/GYN at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
Successful applicants must qualify for Board Certification in Family Medicine and licensure in the state of Nevada. Applicants must submit a letter of interest, medical school transcripts, copies of USMLE scores and the names of three individuals qualified to write letters of recommendation on their behalf to be considered for the fellowship. A letter of recommendation from the applicant's residency Program Director is also required. All application materials must be received no later than January 15th.
