Visiting Las Vegas
Picking a Hotel
Most people visiting Las Vegas for their interviews or business choose to stay in hotels at or near the Strip. Unfortunately, the School of Medicine does not reimburse for accommodation and rental car expenses. Cab fare from the Strip to the school is very reasonable, as are room rates on most weekdays. The closest major hotel to the school is Palace Station, approximately a mile from the school. Look to book your room early, as rates typically increase around major conventions.
Arriving by Airplane
The airport that services Las Vegas is McCarran Airport. A taxi ride to the major hotels on the Strip will cost approximately ten to fifteen dollars, with cab fare from any of these hotels to the school costing about the same. The McCarran Rent-A-Car center is a free shuttle ride away from the airport with about ten rental car companies available to serve you.
