Clinical Social Work
Clinical social workers at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine are skilled in assessing, diagnosing and treating problems, disorders and conditions that interfere with the mental, behavioral and emotional well-being of patients.
We are dedicated to providing the best possible individualized care and improving one's overall quality of life. The School of Medicine is home to Amy Ellwood, MSW, LCSW, BCD—specializing in clinical social work. Based in Las Vegas, Ellwood has served on many community boards and committees including the State of Nevada Board of Social Work Examiners, the University of Michigan School of Social Work Board of Governors, the American Association of Social Work Boards Task Force on Clinical Supervision, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Excessive Use of Force Board and Southern Nevada Domestic Violence Task Force in Las Vegas. In addition, she has the following board certifications:

- Individual and Family Therapy
