Surgical Oncology

Patient Care

At the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, our highly trained surgical oncologists, are an integral part of our multidisciplinary approach to cancer care. Your surgeon will communicate with the other physicians you are working with, to provide comprehensive and thorough care. Our board-certified doctors have advanced fellowship training in treating a range of tumors from melanoma, colon, adrenal, thyroid and neuroendocrine tumors. If you have to meet with a surgical oncologist, trust that you'll be in the best hands at the School of Medicine.

Since our physicians are university-based, they have access to the latest research studies and are actively participating in some of their own studies in breast cancer, melanoma and mechanisms of tumor metastasis and liver cancer screening. In addition, our surgical oncology team has spots available in open clinical trials in the areas of liver surgery and breast cancer and melanoma mechanisms of tumor metastasis.

News of cancer is overwhelming, but the doctors at the School of Medicine are here for you every step of the way. Our compassionate doctors possess the quality expertise you need and the support you desire to fight this battle with you. Our physicians offer emotional and physical support with the dignity and consideration you deserve. No cancer patient is ever left feeling alone and confused under the guidance of the School of Medicine. Together, we'll get through this.
