Year 3 Electives Workshops, Reno and Las Vegas Campuses

  • Students learn about the process, policies and guidelines for selecting and scheduling Year 4 elective courses

Advising Workshops

  • Students attend one more of these workshops beginning the last week of January through the final week of February to work with faculty advisors from their specialty area, along with Student Affairs career advisors to begin to finalize their schedules and specialty decisions.

  • Advanced Clinical Experience in Rural Medicine (Rural Rotation) preference due Feb. 28, 5:00 p.m.

March

  • Advanced Clinical Experience in Rural Medicine (Rural Rotation) assignments released to students March 3, 5:00 p.m.
  • Students begin contacting clinical departments for elective course scheduling March 10, 2014.
  • Students may begin applying for out-of-state electives through the Visiting Student Application System (VSAS)

April

  • Students continue scheduling Year 3 electives
  • Students continue to apply for out-of-state electives

May

  • Deadline for students to submit final Year 4 schedule, with advisor signatures, to the Office of Medicine Education
