The "N" trademark and logo, and other trademarks, service marks, word marks, insignias, designs, symbols and logos associated with the University of Nevada, Reno, and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine are trademarks of and are owned by the Nevada System of Higher Education and may not be used or reproduced without express written permission. No additional permission is required for use of these trademarks, in accordance with this manual, by any official unit of the University of Nevada, Reno.
The University limits the use of the University's trademarks for commercial purposes, although some uses may be allowed if in the best interests of the university, as solely determined by the Office of the President. The logos for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine are symbols of the institution as well as a bridge to the rest of the University. These designs follow the guidelines established by the University of Nevada, Reno's Office of Integrated Marketing. They are consistent in use of the block N, color and typography.
As an homage to our past logo, the icon set developed represents the University's four main focuses: Education, Community Engagement, Patient Care and Research. These should be used as an accent element to call out information regarding those focuses.
Evoking a sense of tradition and education, vintage-style medical illustrations (also referred to as "etchings" or "engravings") are incorporated into the brand to add visual interest, color and texture.
