In 1989 the 24-credit gerontology certificate program was approved by the University Courses and Curriculum. In 1991 the 18-credit gerontology minor was approved.

The Gerontology Academic Program (GAP) is part of the Sanford Center for Aging and offers both a 24-credit Academic Certificate, and a 18-credit Gerontology minor.

To apply for admission or to declare a Gerontology minor or certificate, please download and complete our application form and return it to the Sanford Center for Aging in room 150 of the Center for Molecular Medicine on the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
