Caregiver Conference 2021

Coming in February

The 2021 Virtual Caregiver Conference aims to enlighten and motivate professionals by providing new ideas to meet the unique needs of residents in care facilities. Please join us!

WHAT: Two, 3-hour Live Virtual Trainings. This virtual conference includes 6 hours through Zoom meetings and 2 hours through the NGEC training portal. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is limited. ADSD staff, contact your supervisor to register.

WHEN: February 2021

  • Tuesdays, February 9 and 23, 1:15 to 4:30 p.m.

  • Thursdays, Febuary 11 and 25, 8:30 to 11:45 a.m.

PROPOSED TOPICS:

  • Patient-centered care
  • Resident rights
  • Suicide and survivors
  • Supported decision-making
  • Free two-hour recorded session on resident facility citations.

  • Registration includes up to 8.0 hours of continuing education (CEUs).
  • No refunds will be provided, including cancellation of the event due to circumstances beyond our control. Registrants will not be able to change their registration selections regardless of the circumstance. Transfer to another person will be considered until January 28, and will only be approved for extenuating circumstances.

APPROPRIATE FOR: Directors, administrators and staff of homes for individual residential care, residential facilities for groups (group homes), assisted living facilities, nursing facilities and caregivers or others interested in the topics are welcome to attend.

RURAL OR OUT OF STATE? You have access: The conference will be conducted online using Zoom teleconferencing.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT:

This training has been approved by the Nevada State Board of Examiners for Long Term Care Administrators (1.5 ethics, 2.0 regulations, 4.5 general), Social Workers (1.5 ethics, 1.5 suicide prevention, 5.0 general), and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Sanford Center for Aging for Nurses, and Marriage and Family Therapists for 8.0 hours of continuing education credit.

NOTE: This training is ideally appropriate for nurses and social workers who work in or with residential care facilities.
