Dementia-Friendly Nature Walks in Idlewild Park, Reno

Did you know walking can help improve symptoms of dementia?

NOTE: Dementia-Friendly Nature Walks have been temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. When they resume, the weekly walks provide a supportive group of friends. Walks are specifically designed for people living with dementia and their care partners.

Sanford Center for Aging and Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation host the weekly walks in Idlewild Park, west of downtown Reno.

For information about any Sanford Center Wellness program, call (775) 235-8862 or email sijiaq@unr.edu.

Dementia-Friendly Nature Walks are funded by a partnership between the Sanford Center for Aging, Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation and Dementia Friendly Washoe County.
