Master Training

Sanford Center for Aging

Taking Charge Master Training is a 4 ½ day training that prepares you to train leaders and lead workshops. Master Training is provided by T-Trainers who are authorized by Stanford University to facilitate Self-Management Workshops, to train Leaders, and train Master Trainers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills, is non-judgmental
  • Understand the importance and purpose of fidelity (following the curriculum)
  • Exhibits enthusiasm
  • Optimistic about a person's ability to make changes
  • Is dependable, consistent and on time, has reliable transportation
  • Possesses life experience resulting in empathy to the needs and abilities of persons with chronic health conditions
  • Ability to work with a small group of people and build rapport with them
  • Ability to fluently read aloud and follow a script in the language of the program
  • Must respect participant confidentiality
