Volunteer With SOS

Senior Outreach Services Program

Do you, a friend, or family member have a compassionate heart and the desire to donate some of your time to help a senior? If the answer is yes, then SOS is the program for you. As a volunteer, you will be providing needed support to our community's elders who are in need of a friend. Your experience will be memorable and enriching.

Other than a big heart, patience and an interest in making a difference in someone's life, all you need to become a volunteer is to:

  • Make a commitment to visit your client for at least two hours every week for one year
  • Have your own transportation, a current driver's license and auto insurance
  • Receive pre-service and in-service training

A background check is also required prior to enrollment, as you will be entering the homes of your clients. There is no charge for the background check.
