Nevada Crisis Standard of Care (“CSC”) Clinical Stakeholder Meeting: Las Vegas

May 4, 2017
5:30–7 p.m.

Please Note: This event has already occurred.

On behalf of the Nevada Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John DiMuro, the Division of Public & Behavioral Health would like to cordially request your attendance at the Nevada Crisis Standards of Care (CSC) Clinical Stakeholder Meeting. This is an open invitation to anyone involved in healthcare (clinicians, surgeons, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, private healthcare practitioners, licensing boards, medical societies, healthcare insurance carriers, healthcare students, and the like) to attend and provide input on the crucial clinical section of the Nevada CSC Plan.

The purpose of the Nevada CSC Plan is to detail how Nevada's statewide healthcare system will respond during a major catastrophe. The Plan follows the Institute of Medicine's federally recognized best practices. During a catastrophic emergency where healthcare resources are extremely limited, coordination will occur between the Nevada Chief Medical Officer, the Nevada Division of Emergency Management, and the Governor. Healthcare professionals, including first responders, may face disproportionate burdens or greater risks for the benefit of the community during catastrophic emergencies. They may be prioritized for support and services to enable them to provide continued service to the community. As subject-matter experts, your input and feedback are critical to creating a functional CSC plan that fits Nevada.

The Nevada CSC Clinical Stakeholder Meeting will take place in both Las Vegas and Reno during the dates and times listed below. Please be sure to RSVP by following the applicable Eventbrite link, and to receive important parking information. Seating is limited. Light refreshments will be provided. CEU credits will be offered for EMS and nursing participants.
