Many seniors on fixed incomes are being challenged by the current housing market. Not all seniors are eligible for public assistance, and others with slightly higher incomes are just getting by. Even when they own their own homes, increased taxes, insurance, sewer fees, and other expenses are undoubtedly making it difficult for those on fixed incomes. Renters are even in a worse predicament as they become displaced from their apartments due to rent increases.

Join us for this discussion on the current status of affordable housing for seniors in the Truckee Meadows, affordable housing resources, and planning efforts underway to address this critical issue.
