Each session will be presented by faculty and national experts in the field, including HRSA update and the Ending the Epidemic national strategy, NASTAD presentation on HIV prevention including U=U, local updates from Ryan White Part A on local End the Epidemic strategies, stigma and kink, adolescent health and Nevada law, and mental health and substance use.

Learning Objectives

Following participation in this course, participants should be able to:

  • Explain Nevada civil laws addressing parental consent requirements for youth sexual health care; Describe Nevada criminal disclosure laws
  • Interpret laws relating to disclosure and consent to be better equipped to make health care decisions with patients
