Biography

Kelly Conright, M.D., CMD, is board certified in internal medicine, geriatric medicine, and hospice and palliative medicine. She is an associate professor in internal medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, is the Program Director for the School of Medicine's hospice and palliative medicine fellowship, and serves as a core faculty member for the geriatric medicine fellowship. She has been a consultant for a quality improvement organization sponsored by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

She has also been a member of a state based P&T committee as well as an inaugural member for a state POLST/MOST development committee. She is a certified medical director, and has more than 17 years experience as a medical director for multiple community and VA based nursing homes. Dr. Conright is an assistant medical director at the VA community Living Center. She is also an attending physician who serves as a hospital and outpatient based palliative care consultant, attending physician in the Community Living Center and inpatient hospice unit at the VA Community Living Center for Geriatrics and Extended Care Services at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System.

She has special interests in education of communication skills, advanced care planning and elder and end of life care in the nursing home setting.
