Why did you choose the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Reno Family Medicine Residency?:UNR SOM Family Medicine Residency provided the perfect blend of academic and community full-spectrum Family Medicine training. I had the honor of doing an away rotation in Reno and met the incredible faculty, supportive and kind residents, and inspiring patient population. I realized UNR FM provided endless opportunities for training, while serving the most vulnerable populations in the area. Reno is a terrific place for me to blend my passion for public health and primary care and to serve low-income communities. As a Latina, I am also incredibly passionate about serving the growing Latino community in Reno and working to meet their cultural and language needs. Lastly, Reno has such lovely people and the most stunning outdoors.
