Why did you choose the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency? My wife and I couples’ matched and for us, a good fit with faculty, staff and residents was a must. We immediately felt welcomed when we came to visit Reno and are overjoyed to have matched here. I felt UNR had the best of both worlds in a Family Medicine program with both full scope training as well as the support of an academic institution. UNR’s strengths in Obstetrics, Wilderness medicine and Sports medicine were important to me. I am also interested in different forms of healthcare delivery and would like to work to improve access and reduce the costs associated with healthcare. We love the outdoors and having the Sierras and Tahoe in our backyard was definitely a bonus.
