Biography

Zac Walker is the Coordinator for Pipeline Programs & Diversity Initiatives at the School of Medicine, guiding curriculum and supporting students in reaching their educational and professional goals. He is passionate about issues facing higher education related to access and representation, and has worked within admissions, student affairs, and educational leadership in student-driven programming.

Zac Walker earned his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a minor in Service-Learning from California State University, Monterey Bay in 2011, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership & Policy from Portland State University in 2016, and is currently pursuing his PhD in Equity & Diversity in Education at UNR. He currently works as the Coordinator for Pipeline Programs & Diversity Initiatives and has been with UNR since 2016, previously serving as the Learning Specialist for Pipeline Programs. Zac is committed to guiding academic programming and student support services geared towards mission-driven recruitment, admission, and representation.
