This clinic provides a forum for presentation and discussion of patients with both Type I and Type II diabetes with a team of diabetes experts including an endocrinologist a diabetes nurse educator and a nutritionist, in addition, there is an opportunity for presentation of patients with other endocrine disorders.

This clinic team consists of:

  • Evan Klass, M.D. Dr. Klass is a Board Certified Endocrinologist with over 30 years of clinical practice experience. He is the Governor of the Nevada Chapter of the Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Clinical Endocrinology.
  • Veronica Brady, Ph.D., CDE. Dr. Brady holds both a Masters' degree from the University of Detroit Mercy and a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree from the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center. She is a certified diabetes educator and board certified in advanced diabetes management. She has authored several publications regarding diabetes in the Oncology Nursing Forum, the Journal of Diabetes Therapeutics and Technology, and the Clinical Advisor.
  • Karmella Thomas, RD, CDE. Karmella trained at University of Nevada, Reno, in both biology and nutrition. She has a certificate of Specialized Training in Adult Weight Management from the American Dietetic Association. She also earned the Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credential in June 2012.
