The Sanford Center for Aging (SCA) geriatric specialty clinical team can help enhance your ability to care for your older patients by providing up-to-date screening tools, assessments, best practices and resources for you, your patients, and caregivers.

The Geriatric Series is led by Patti Swager, M.Ed., Associate Director for Clinical Education at the SCA. She completed a certificate in gerontology and has more than 25 years of experience in the field of aging. She works in collaboration with the clinical team and seeks out other experts to serve as presenters for the geriatric series. The SCA geriatric specialty clinic team includes:

Leslie Baker, PharmD, RPh, GCP, serves as the geriatric pharmacist for the SCA geriatric specialty clinic and oversees the University of Nevada, Reno Campus Pharmacy. She is a certified geriatric pharmacist and has practiced in a variety of settings including hospital, retail, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities and clinics; and she has more than seven years of experience working with older adults.

He has a social work license in Nevada; and he has more than 30 years of experience in the field of social work in hospital and home care settings, most of which is focused on the care of older adults.
