Hematology Series

ECHO Clinics

2nd Tuesdays in August, September, and October • 5–6 p.m.
Next: Tuesday, September 11, 2018

This three part series on Hemostatis will be led by Amber Federizo, RN, MSN, FNP-BC. We are conducting a research study to learn about the efficacy of utilizing videoconferencing to improve clinician knowledge of hemostasis and awareness of federally designated treatment centers. It is hoped that with access to videoconferencing and mentorship patients will experience a shortened time to diagnosis, treatment, and referral in the future and clinicians will experience an increased confidence in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of these patients following the education.

About the speaker: Amber Federizo, APRN, FNP-BC is a native Nevadan uniquely experienced in the differing needs of rural and urban Nevada. She is the only Hemostasis Board Certified Family NP in the state of Nevada. She has published, presented, and trained nationally and internationally. She is also twin mentor for the Philippines Children's Medical Center in Quezon City, Manila. She is currently co-medical director of the only federally designated treatment center which covers the entire state, the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center of Nevada.
