Thank you for inquiring about how to join the ECHO Nevada community! On this page you will find general instructions about how to begin participating in ECHO Nevada specialty clinics. If you require further assistance, please contact Project ECHO Nevada at (775) 682-8481 or

Install Zoom and directly join an ECHO clinic.

Technology Requirements:

  • Desktop Computer, Laptop, Tablet, or Smartphone
  • Webcam – Most laptops, tablets, and smartphones have built-in webcams. If you do need a webcam, please contact someone on the ECHO Nevada staff for assistance.
  • Internet Connection – It is important to note that the audio and video quality of ECHO Nevada sessions directly correlates with the quality of your internet connection. Fortunately, our web-based videoconferencing system requires much less bandwidth to deliver higher quality videoconferencing sessions than with the outdated Polycom systems we used back in 2012.

Videoconferencing Software:

We use the web-based videoconferencing software called "Zoom" for all of our ECHO clinics. Below you will find instructions on downloading this FREE videoconferencing software for the variety of devices you may use to join us.

For Desktop PC's and Laptops:

  • Open an Internet browser and go to
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Download"
  • On the next page, click "Zoom Client for Meetings"
  • Click "Run" when prompted – This will allow your computer to download the free videoconferencing software

For Apple Devices (iPad and iPhone):

  • Open the App Store on your device
  • Search for "Zoom Cloud Meetings"
  • Install the first option on the list (you will need to enter your Apple ID and password to download the free app to your device)

For Android Devices (Tablets and Smartphones):

  • Open the Google Play app on your device
  • Search for "Zoom Cloud Meetings"
  • Install the first option on the list

Joining an ECHO Nevada Clinic for the First Time:

  • Open Zoom on any of the above mentioned devices. Desktop and laptop computer users may need to search for the icon in their "Programs" or "Applications" folder depending their operating system. Once the icon is found, it would be wise to drag it to your desktop or create a new shortcut in order to save time in the future.
  • Next, click "Join a Meeting"
  • On the following screen, enter 684 551 843 as the Meeting ID and enter your name and location in the other field. It is also helpful to click "Remember my name for future meetings". Once finished, click "Join".
  • On the next screen, select "Use computer microphone and speakers" so you will be able to communicate with the rest of the group.
  • Once you are in the ECHO clinic, please be sure to mute your audio by clicking the microphone icon on the lower left-hand portion of the screen but feel free to unmute yourself anytime you would like to speak to someone. We appreciate the interaction between participating sites!
