Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship

This is a one year fellowship position in the Department of Surgery, Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. The fellowship is a non-accredited program involving the entire spectrum of colon & rectal surgery with an emphasis in minimal invasive and robotic surgery. The program is supported by three full-time and one part time military faculty and led by program director and chief of the division, Dr. Ovunc Bardakcioglu. The fellow will be responsible as a junior faculty member providing patient care, teaching general surgery residents and medical students and conducting clinical research. The Colon & Rectal Surgery Fellow will assist faculty in operations, research and will be involved in the teaching of general surgery residents and medical students. Requirements include completion of an approved residency in General Surgery. Applicants must also qualify for Nevada licensure and malpractice coverage. In addition, documented commitment to academic and clinical excellence is essential.
