Our Buildings

Pennington Medical Education (PMB)

The Pennington Medical Education building houses the Savitt Medical Library as well as administrative offices for the School of Medicine including the Offices of the Dean, Medical Education, and Admissions and Student Affairs. The ground floor is also home to the lecture halls, study rooms, and student lounge for the Orvis School of Nursing.

Pennington Health Sciences (PHS)

Inside the Pennington Health Sciences building you'll find the lecture halls and study rooms for the first and second year medical students, the anatomy lab, medical student lounge, medical simulation center, and additional small meeting spaces. The third floor houses several administrative offices for Orvis School of Nursing faculty.

Center for Molecular Medicine (CMM)

The Center for Molecular Medicine encompasses parts of the microbiology. pharmacology, pathology, physiology and cell biology departments. The Center for Molecular Medicine is a hub of research and productivity for the school's basic scientists and graduate student programs. It is also home to the Whittemore Peterson Institute and the Sanford Center for Aging.

Family Medicine Center (FMC)

The Family Medicine Center is our campus clinic available to patients of all ages. The Center is also the home of our Student Outreach Clinic, which provides free medical care to the uninsured, and training to the future physicians studying at UNR Med.



The closest parking is available among the medical school buildings in the Silver 10 lot. Visitors will need to purchase a pass to park in these spaces between the hours of 7:30am-8:00pm Monday-Thursday, and 7:30am-5:30pm on Fridays. Parking passes may be purchased at the automated kiosk at the north end of the Silver 10 lot, or through UNR's Parking Services building. Additional information about visitor parking may be found at on the UNR Parking and Transportation Services website.


Patients of the Family Medicine Center and Student Outreach Clinic may park for free in the labeled "Patient Parking" spaces on the north side of the clinical buildings. Patients must check in at the clinic's reception desk to obtain a short-term pass to place on their dashboard.
