Annual Autumn Update conference: This popular program provides a clinical update for HIV/AIDS care providers every year. Located at beautiful Lake Tahoe each fall, our Autumn Update program features prominent local, regional, and national HIV/AIDS experts and attracts care providers from Nevada and all over the west coast. For the next Autumn Update, please contact Mary Karls,, for more information, or see the Office of Continuing Medical Education’s website for registration information.

Clinical Training

The NAETC offers clinical training for physicians and nurses, which are available through a number of partner AETC’s located throughout the Pacific region. Sites include UCSF, UCLA, UC Irvine, UCSD, Arizona, and Drew University. Providers enrolled in these programs will have the opportunity to shadow or work directly with HIV specialists in a clinical environment. The NAETC works directly with these partner sites to tailor programming to suit a participant’s specific educational needs.

Clinical Consultation and Technical Assistance

The NAETC also offers ongoing support to organizations and individual care providers when managing HIV patients. Through a combination of networking physicians, up-to-date information, and access to experts in the field, we are able to provide extra support to care providers. We offer clinical consultation, case-based group discussions, and technical assistance to build capacity of clinics and organizations to better care for people living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C. For more information or to request NAETC training or support, please contact the Nevada AIDS Education and Training Center (NAETC).
