School of Medicine, University Health System name employees of the year

LAS VEGAS/RENO, Nev. — The University of Nevada School of Medicine and University Health System, its clinical practice, recently announced their employees of the year for 2008.

Luci Young, assistant to David Lupan, Ph.D., senior associate dean for basic science and research, was honored as the School of Medicine's Dean's Star winner in Reno while Marsha Gallo, Department of Internal Medicine, was recognized as the School's Las Vegas Dean's Star winner. Isela Rico-Martinez, Department of Surgery, was named the University Health System employee of the year.

The School of Medicine and University Health System annually honor outstanding employees at holiday luncheons or assemblies.
