Max Coppes, M.D., Ph.D., MBA, named School of Medicine’s Nell J. Redfield Chair of Pediatrics, Pediatrician-in-Chief for Renown Children’s Hospital

 • “I believe in a better tomorrow for our children and their families.” With this mantra, Max Coppes, M.D., Ph.D., MBA accepts the joint leadership role as the Nell J. Redfield Chair of Pediatrics at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and pediatrician-in-chief at Renown Children’s Hospital, effective April 1, 2016.

 • With the goal of providing more services for the medically uninsured in Washoe County, the University of Nevada School of Medicine has scheduled free Student Outreach Clinics for April.

School of Medicine’s Class of 2016 to learn residency ‘match’ results

 • Sixty-five fourth-year medical students at the University of Nevada School of Medicine will learn where they will receive their residency training on Friday, March 18 at 9 a.m. when students on both Reno and Las Vegas campuses learn the results from the National Resident Matching Program.

Local leaders experience career of a medical student
