Office of Operations and Financial Services Appoints Senior Director, Four Directors

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine announces five new directors have joined its Office of Operations and Financial Services: Adonis Hardeman, MSPH, senior director of clinical operations and administration; Gayle Halminiak, director of operations and administration; Ken Munsterman, MBA, director of operations and administration; Danielle Eaton, director of research operations and administration and Liana McGill, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, director of human resources.

Adonis Hardeman, senior director of clinical operations and administration, provides direction for the daily operations of UNR Med's clinical departments, including administrative and strategic planning, faculty compensation, monitoring and managing of existing clinical operations, and assessing new programs and business development opportunities. Additionally, he works collaboratively with UNR Med leadership and clinical partners to ensure mutual benefit and representation during partnership discussions and planning. Hardeman holds a Master of Science degree in Public Health from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee where he also served as executive director for the college's medical group operations.

As director of operations and administration, Gayle Halminiak builds on her experience as director of finance and administration for UNR Med's Internal Medicine department. Halminiak collaborates with department chairs and the Office of Operations and Financial Services to oversee all operations and administration for Internal Medicine, Neurology and Pediatrics, including strategic planning, financial management, clinical administration and academic affairs. Halminiak earned her Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Ken Munsterman, director of operations and administration, is a University of Nevada, Reno alumnus, earning both his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and an MBA from the university. He hails from Stanford Healthcare, where he was an administrator of several clinical operations in the Bay Area. In his new role, Munsterman is responsible for the overall operations and administration for the Family Medicine, OB/GYN and Speech Pathology departments, including strategic planning, financial management and compliance, clinical administration and academic affairs.

In her new role as director of research operations and administration, Danielle Eaton works closely with UNR Med students, residents and faculty to provide a range of support services from assuring compliance with human research protections and funding agencies to assisting with study design, providing resources for accurate data management and locating local and national mentors. Eaton also serves as the strategic business partner for the senior associate dean of research, the Basic Science department chairs and the senior associate dean for administration and finance. A University of Nevada, Reno alumnus, Eaton earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology.

Liana McGill previously served as the director of human resources for Integrated Clinical Services, UNR Med's clinical practice. In her new role, director of human resources for the School of Medicine, she is responsible for the full scope of human resources management, including compensation, rewards and recognition, performance, employee relations and talent management for both UNR Med and Integrated Clinical Services. McGill directs and supports human resources policies, programs and practices in conjunction with the Office of Operations and Financial Services' goals and objectives while collaborating with UNR Med and university leadership, developing HR best practices to promote employee engagement, address key issues and support mission-driving initiatives. McGill earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business from California Coast University.

"Each of our new directors are driven to further UNR Med's mission, specifically as it relates to educational, research, and patient services, as well as strategic initiatives of the Office of Operations and Financial Services," said Jeremy Alltop, senior associate dean of administration and finance. "I'm excited to see how their diverse backgrounds and expertise help grow and enhance our department, UNR Med and the university overall."
