Lauren Siri named as Manager of Events and Protocol at UNR Med

Lauren Siri has joined the Advancement and Engagement department at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) as manager of events and protocol.

In her role, Siri will bring the unrivaled history and unlimited future of UNR Med to life through community-engaging events, highlighting UNR Med's 50th anniversary celebrations taking place this year. In addition to managing School of Medicine events and programming, Siri will work in tandem with vendors and suppliers, monitor event finances and budget, design stage décor and backdrops and event operations. After the conclusion of UNR Med's 50th anniversary, Siri will continue to plan and manage high priority events that promote UNR Med's mission and vision of a healthy Nevada.

Siri brings over 10 years of marketing, communications and public relations experience to UNR Med. She previously worked as Manager of University Events for the University of Nevada, Reno, Assistant Event Services Manager at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey, California and in administration at the Ethics Center at UCLA Health System in Westwood, California. Her diverse expertise includes working in health care and, in higher-education enhancing university experiences.

Siri graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Santa Clara University, majoring in business with an accounting emphasis. Siri also leads an active lifestyle, participating as a Cycle for Survival Extreme Rider since 2012.
