Reflections from the Dean

Teaching medical students is at the heart of what we do at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Each of us contributes in some critical way to medical education. Together we have the satisfaction teaching and training the next generation of health professionals and advancing biomedical science.

Last year one of our distinguished faculty physicians, Josh Bardin, M.D., approached me with the concern he has for the students he has taught for the last several years. He wanted to know what he could do to increase the level of scholarship support available at UNR Med so as to lessen the financial burden our students face.
