Class of 2020 Clinician’s Ceremony

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Class of 2020 Clinician's Ceremony, June 27, marked the transition of second-year medical students from basic science years to clinical training.

"This day marks yet another major transition for the Class of 2020, to the first of many intense years of clinical training that will lead to their full development as physicians," UNR Med Dean Thomas Schwenk, M.D., told the students. "After two years of early clinical exposure and clinical skills training, hard work, late nights, much anxiety and passing the Step 1 exam required to enter your third year of medical school, you are about to put on new white coats and take another large leap in the process of learning what it means to be physicians."

Visit UNR Med on Facebook for a photo album with highlights from the Class of 2020 Clinician's Ceremony.
