  • Outpatient Setting: 4-5

Description:

  • UNLV Student Health Center (college students - musculoskeletal exams, STI screening, procedures)
  • Family Medicine Center (full-spectrum clinic - prenatal care to geriatrics)
  • UMC Inpatient Service (uninsured patients, complex pathology)

Call Requirements: one weekend day (5 a.m. -5 p.m. call) during the hospital service rotation

Assessment Methods: Your performance during the Family Medicine clerkship will be evaluated by attendings and senior residents you work with, and by a written, standardized shelf examination, a presentation, and participation.

Grading System: Final grades will be honors, high pass or pass.

Special advice from the Clerkship Director: Arrive 5-10 minutes early for the orientation. Drive to the clinic before the first day if unfamiliar with the location.
