Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Discuss the principles of Family Medicine Care and utilize available resources to meet their learning needs.
  2. Gather information, formulate differential diagnoses, develop clinical skills, and propose plans for the initial evaluation and management of patients with common presentations.
  3. Manage follow-up visits with patients having common chronic diseases using cost effective care and appropriate community resources.
  4. Apply critical thinking skills and understand human nature to develop evidence-based health promotion/disease prevention plans for patients of any age or gender.
  5. Demonstrate competency in advanced elicitation of history, effective communication with patients and healthcare providers, and accurate documentation.
  6. Fulfill professional duties in a respectful, reliable, and responsible manner adhering to the ethical principles of patient care.
