Number of Weeks: Inpatient Setting 3 / Outpatient Setting 3

Description:

  • 3 weeks of general outpatient pediatrics with one of our clinical faculty at the E. 2nd Street clinic. This is primary care medicine: well-checks, prevention and acute sick visits.
  • 3 weeks of inpatient pediatrics at 4th floor Renown. There are 3 inpatient faculty members who usually rotate a week at a time. You will get experience with the acutely ill child.

Call Requirements: During your inpatient rotation you will take 4 call days. These are from home call and rarely require you to be in house after 10 p.m.

Assessment methods:  Your performance in the Pediatrics clerkship will be determined using your attending evaluations, patient logs, subject exam, and a professionalism score.

Grading System:  Final grades will be honors, high pass or pass.
