Goals/Objectives

  • The student will gain an understanding of the pathophysiology, diagnosis, evaluation and management of common gastrointestinal disorders

Description of Rotation

The student will be involved in the consultation of new patient to the service on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. The student will see the patients on their own initially, perform

A physical examination and present the case to the attending physician. The student will formulate a differential diagnosis and intended evaluation. The student will also have opportunity

to be exposed to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures who are specific to pediatric a gastroenterology.
