Application Process-VSLO

Office of Medical Education

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine will receive visiting student applications through the AAMC Visiting Student Learning OpportunitiesTM (VSLOTM) program. To apply, please complete and submit a VSLO application for your preferred electives and dates.

Processing of visiting student applications will begin after May 7th, 2018. You will be notified by the Office of Medical Education upon approval of your application. The clinical department will then provide you with information specific to your elective rotation, i.e. when, where and to whom you should report.

Required documents which can be uploaded to VSLO are:

  • photograph
  • medical school transcript with verification of clerkships completed
  • proof of current immunizations, including a Hepatitis B titer, a flu shot, and a TB test done within one year of the date of your requested rotation.
  • curriculum vita
  • USMLE Step 1 score report

A $150.00 non-refundable application fee must be sent by mail after the offer has been accepted. Make check or money order payable to Board of Regents. Please do not send cash.
