University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine endocrinologists diagnose and manage diabetes and disorders of the endocrine system. The School of Medicine Diabetes Center and Endocrinology clinic has a registered dietician who can help answer questions during patient appointments with an endocrinologist. Patients can also schedule additional one-on-one or group educational sessions. Our outpatient clinic offers blood glucose meter teaching, nutrition guidelines, training on insulin and other injections, diabetes self-management skills and pre-diabetes education.

The Diabetes Center at the School of Medicine is an academic learning center and multispecialty clinic which often has residents and students who rotate and learn from faculty physicians. This environment of learning also helps to increase the quality of care provided to our patients by applying the latest research to medical care.
