Psychiatry

Patient Care

Psychiatrists at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine offer a broad spectrum of comprehensive mental health services and counseling. Our psychiatry services and counseling include assistance with mood disorders such as anxiety and bipolar or manic depressive disorders, anger management, family and couples counseling, depression, geriatric psychiatry, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders and severe mental illness such as psychosis and schizophrenia.

In addition, we have psychiatrists who specialize in child counseling. Our doctors can recognize learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, anti-social conduct and many other mental and behavioral symptoms pediatric patients may suffer from. Our team of child psychiatrists can help address these issues and counsel patients who require aggressive attention.

Our psychiatrists are trained to treat patients of all ages and have access to the latest research in effective treatment management. Psychiatrists work with you and your family to develop care plans for your mental health issues. In addition, the School of Medicine can work with outside psychiatrists or physicians you are seeing to ensure a full collaborative effort to address your medical concerns.

If you're feeling lost and don't know where to turn, come meet with our psychiatry staff today. We'll provide a calm and attentive environment and provide you and your family with the guidance you need in life.
