Mrs. Cocanour received both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Areas of Interest
My main areas of interest in the field of Speech-Language Pathology include the pediatric population in the areas of language and articulation disorders and delays. These populations include (but are not limited to): Specific Language Impairment, Expressive Language Disorder/Delay, Receptive Language Disorder/Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Language Learning Disorders, and other disorders that occur concurrently with language delays and disorders. I am a Hanen Certified Speech Language Pathologist in both the "It Takes Two to Talk" and "More Than Words" parent training programs.
Clinical Experience
I have worked as a Speech Language Pathologist in many settings, most recently as a clinical supervisor in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of Nevada, Reno. My responsibilities are to guide and support graduate students in both evaluation of speech and language disorders and in implementing interventions (therapy) for clients.
