Research and Scholarship

My research interests are focused on the pathogenic mechanism and prevention of infectious diseases including bacterial meningitis and diarrheal diseases. My teaching is primarily involved in undergraduate education and curricular development, especially in the areas of microbiology and microbial physiology.
