Herbert comes to UNR Med from Opus Search Partners, Inc., in Charlottesville, Virginia, an executive consulting firm specializing in interim leadership assignments at medical schools, hospitals and group practice plans. Previously, he served as chief executive officer for the Michigan State University Health Team. His leadership experience includes serving as senior vice president and executive director for Beaumont Medical Group and assistant dean for clinical affairs at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He also served as executive associate dean for administration at the Medical College of Georgia and interim president of Physicians Practice Group, the faculty practice plan at the Medical College of Georgia.
