Statement on Diversity (UNR Med PA Studies Program)
The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine PA Studies Program is dedicated to fostering a space where diversity, equity, and inclusion empowers our students to become competent and culturally sensitive healthcare providers. We aim to decrease barriers to PA education that may stem from applicants' races, ethnicities, economic/educational hardships, belief systems, visible and non-visible disabilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We are committed to building cohorts that mirror our communities because our differences strengthen our human connection and delivery of healthcare to Nevada.

We believe diversity in health care advances academic excellence, benefits patients and furthers research in meaningful and measurable ways. That's why our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is more than a wall plaque -it's a promise. A promise we back with meaningful and measurable actions. A promise that extends to our learners, to our colleagues and to our community. Because a healthy Nevada is only possible when we recognize the individual needs of each and every Nevadan.
