Association of American Medical Colleges - AAMC Meetings
Founded in 1876 and based in Washington, D.C., the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges) is a not-for-profit association dedicated to transforming health care through innovative medical education, cutting-edge patient care, and groundbreaking medical research. American Association for Cancer Research - AACR Meetings
The mission of the American Association for Cancer Research is to prevent and cure cancer through research, education, communication, collaboration, funding, and advocacy. American Academy of Dermatology - AAD Meetings
The American Academy of Dermatology was founded in 1938. It is the largest, most influential and representative dermatology group in the United States. American College of Physicians - ACP Meetings
The American College of Physicians (ACP) is a diverse community of internal medicine specialists and subspecialists united by a commitment to excellence. American Federation for Medical Research - AFMR Meetings
Established in 1940, the American Federation for Medical Research (AFMR) is an international, multi-disciplinary association of scientists engaged in all areas of biomedical and patient-oriented research, from the laboratory, to translational to clinical. The organization works to foster the development of future generations of clinical scientists and investigators through its own initiatives, while encouraging public, private, and governmental investment in the development of these individuals. Members of the AFMR are located at government facilities; medical centers; universities and medical schools; research institutions; and private industry. Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association - APAMSA Meetings
The Asian Pacific American Medical Students Association (APAMSA) is a national organization of medical and pre-medical students committed to addressing the unique health challenges of Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) communities.
One part of our mission is to bring together Asians, Pacific Islanders, and others interested in the health issues that affect Asians and Pacific Islanders so that we may have a strong, collective, public and political voice. We are interested in both directly promoting the health and well-being of the Asian and Pacific Islander community as well as in helping all health care workers who work with these communities understand how to care for the Asian and Pacific Islander patient in a culturally sensitive manner. Finally, APAMSA provides an important forum for APIA medical students to meet, exchange information and experiences and develop personally and professionally.

Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) - SAEM Meetings
The Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) is dedicated to the improvement of care of the acutely ill and injured patient by improving research and education. To achieve this mission, SAEM influences health policy through forums, publications, interorganizational collaboration, policy development, and consultation services for physicians, teachers, researchers, and students. SAEM represents excellence and leadership in academic emergency medicine, and its values include idealism and quality in all endeavors, nurturing and camaraderie and diversity among members, as well as creative and symbiotic interactions with other organizations. Nevada State Medical Association
Nevada's pioneer physicians organized the Nevada State Medical Association (NSMA) in 1875, only 11 years after Nevada's admission to the United States. These physicians served the medical and public health needs of Nevada pioneer families and visitors. They created the NSMA to share the latest medical knowledge and the collaborate on best practice for their patients. The NSMA began meeting annually in 1904 to identify and address the needs of Nevada physicians and their patients.
Today, the NSMA mission remains consistent with the mission of those pioneer Nevada physicians: advocating for high quality health care for all Nevadans. As the state's oldest and largest physician advocacy organization, the NSMA represents physicians at the state, federal and local levels of government, and before the United States Congress and the Nevada Legislature. The NSMA monitors both state and federal proposed legislation and proposed regulations, attends hearings, drafts comment letters and testifies on behalf of physicians with a focus on elevating quality care and eliminating onerous regulatory barriers which burden the practice of medicine and limit access to care.
Center for Health Disparities & Molecular Medicine Symposium
Welcome to the Center for Health Disparities and Molecular Medicine (CHDMM). Each year medical and scientific advances offer new opportunities for the improvement of health for all Americans. Yet a disproportionate burden of diseases such as diabetes, stroke, cancer, and HIV/AIDS, continues among minority and medically underserved populations. Our faculty is engaged in innovative research that is needed to identify and understand the contributors to health disparities. These contributors may include biological, environmental, socioeconomic, or cultural factors.
Latino Medical Student Association
LMSA-West's mission is to recruit and support individuals in the healthcare professions who will strive to improve the access and delivery of healthcare to Latinos and medically underserved populations. To create a communication network for Latino medical students, pre-medical students, and physicians.
Objectives
To establish programs that facilitate and increase the recruitment of Latino medical school applicants.
To support the academic success of Latino students pursuing a career in medicine.
To support the efforts of organizations committed to the improvement of healthcare access and delivery for Latinos in LMSA West States.
To develop future Latinx leaders in medicine and all its dimensions, including in policy and advocacy, academics and teaching, institutional leadership, community outreach and civic engagement, scholarship and research.

Northern Nevada Diversity Summit
The sixth annual Northern Nevada Diversity Summit titled "Building Bridges in a Changing World." The summit occurs at the University of Nevada, Reno campus in the Joe Crowley Student Union and is free for all to attend. The Summit offers attendees the opportunity to discover new programs and opportunities; learn about new ideas and emerging research; and network with campus and community leaders.
The Service Learning Showcase - University of Nevada, Reno
Come and learn about the service-learning experiences across the university and the greater Reno community. There will be a special tabling section for community organizations at the showcase to highlight opportunities that they have for students to get involved with service and for potential partnerships with faculty. We will also produce a community partner brochure, highlighting the organizations in attendance with contact information. UNR faculty and students are invited to present posters on their service-learning experiences.
