Aphasia Communication Clinic

Not Alone Aphasia Communication Group

1st and 3rd Friday of the month • 2:30 p.m.
Next: Friday, October 6, 2017

The Not Alone Aphasia Communication Group is open to all people with aphasia.

The group applies the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA), which is a consumer driven service delivery approach that supports individuals with aphasia and those affected by it in achieving their immediate and longer term life goals (LPAA Project Group, 2001). This is a philosophy and model of service delivery, rather than a specific therapy approach. The emphasis of LPAA is to empower those with aphasia to re-engage in life participation and to be at the center of all decision making in their recovery process. Visit the "In the News" page to hear an interview with Dr. Tami Brancamp regarding aphasia and the Not Alone Aphasia Communication Group.

Fee: Currently, it is not a fee for service clinic
