Scott Freeman, M.D. '83, founder and chief medical officer of Savant HWP in San Carlos, California, is a drug development consultant for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. He previously served as vice president of clinical development at Onyx Pharmaceuticals in San Francisco, where he was led clinical development and operations. Dr. Freeman performed the studies that lead to NDA approval of Nexavar, an anticancer medicine, and was a key leader in the regulatory strategy that lead to Nexavar receiving FDA approval.

Madeline Waid, M.D. '86 has been named chief of anesthesia at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, Vermont.

Mitchell Austin, M.D. '87 has joined Lakeland Regional Health in Lakeland, Florida, as an ear, nose and throat physician. He completed his fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and his residency in otolaryngology at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.

Minoo Hollis, M.D. '88 has joined OrthoAtlanta as an orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Hollis is fellowship trained in foot and ankle surgery and her practice includes general orthopaedics with specialty training in orthopedic trauma. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is an American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Fellow.

Michael Daubs, M.D. '89 has joined University Orthopaedics and Spine in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he specializes in orthopaedic surgery. He also serves as professor and chairman of the department of surgery at the UNLV School of Medicine.

Terri Bigler, M.D. '92 was recently recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Medicine and named a 2016 Best Doctor by Press Tribune readers in the Roseville, California, area. Dr. Bigler is an internist for Mercy Medical Group in Carmichael, California.

Patrick Osgood, M.D. '92 has joined Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson, California, as an orthopaedic surgeon. A board-certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Osgood has advanced skills in knee and shoulder arthroscopy and fracture care.

Dennis Lenhart, M.D. '93 has joined Provident Medical Group in Walla Walla, Washington as a plastic and reconstructive surgery specialist.

Following her publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, Siva Gramm-Rohm '94 (speech pathology) has joined the International Association of HealthCare Professionals (IAHCP), an online organization for networking and career growth.

Jonathan Lucas, M.D. '94 has been appointed Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner. Dr. Lucas has become a go-to expert on prescription medication and drug-related fatalities, including opioid-related deaths. Dr. Lucas also has experience in mass fatality planning. He previously oversaw the annual National Association of Medical Examiners accreditation process in San Diego, California.

Robert Watson, M.D. '94 and Bret Frey, M.D. '00 have opened Sierra Ketamine Clinics (SKC) in Reno, offering low-dose Ketamine infusion therapy to treat chronic pain and mental health disorders.

Cecilia Stuopis, M.D. '96 is a board of trustees member for Rivier University in Nashua, New Hampshire. Dr. Stuopis is medical director and department head of MITMedical in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is also a member of the Association of Independent Living Groups, MIT Panhellenic Association, Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, and is an MIT education counselor. She volunteers for the Lithuanian Scout Association and the Boston Lithuanian School.

Kate Austill '98 M.S. (speech pathology) was named principal of Alyce Taylor Elementary in Sparks.

Rajbarinder Hundal, M.D. '04, board certified in cardiology and internal medicine, has joined Adventist Health Lodi Memorial in Lodi, California, as a cardiologist.

Heather Lucas-Ross, M.D. '04 was promoted to chief medical officer of Western Sierra Medical Clinic, in Kings Beach, California, offering comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health care as the largest outpatient provider in Nevada and Sierra counties.

Randy Calegari, M.D. '05 has joined Nevada Cancer Specialists in Las Vegas as a medical oncologist.

Kyle Yamamoto, M.D. '09 has been named a clinical community faculty member for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.

Meghan Williams '12 (speech pathology) has joined Nevada Ear, Nose, Throat and Hearing Associates in Reno. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Justin Perry, M.D. '14 has joined St. Peter's Health Medical Group North in Helena, Montana, where he specializes in family medicine.

Alec Runyon, M.D. '14, chief anesthesiology resident at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, received a third-place award for the oral presentation "Evaluating the Hemodynamic Effects of Acute Methamphetamine Use during General Anesthesia, a Retrospective Cohort Study" during the 2017 Western Anesthesia Residents' Conference.
