You have many choices when it comes to selecting a health care provider, and we appreciate you choosing University Health for your care.

We would like to share some exciting news! On June 11, 2021, the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) and Renown Health formalized their decades-long partnership by entering a joint affiliation.

What does a formalized partnership mean for our community?

The affiliation between UNR Med and Renown Health establishes Nevada’s first integrated health system. Together, UNR Med and Renown Health will advance health and health care for our community and our state through world-class medical education, clinical research and patient care. The affiliation is designed to improve access to care, including creating new clinical services over time – services that are currently unavailable in the community – and providing patients access to locally-based clinical trials.

What does this mean for University Health patients?

As part of the affiliation, University Health and our patient services will transfer under the ownership of Renown Health. You will continue to have access to the same providers, and accepted insurance plans will remain the same.

This change is anticipated to occur in Fall 2021 and includes all University Health service lines:

Family Medicine & Patient-Centered Family Medicine | (775) 420-4044
