Our midwives and obstetricians are dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based pregnancy care, starting with pre-conceptional care and counseling.  Throughout each pregnancy we work with each patient to ensure the best possible outcome for mom and baby. Our board-certified obstetricians are experienced in managing high-risk pregnancies.  We encourage patients to contact us and arrange for an appointment when they are planning for pregnancy and once they are pregnant so that we may start prenatal care in the first trimester.

  • Midwifery Care

The Certified Nurse Midwives of University Health provide personalized care throughout the lifespan, including care during pregnancy and birth. Certified Nurse Midwives are nurses with graduate education and training in women’s healthcare.  They are committed to delivering exceptional health outcomes by providing safe, individually responsive, evidence based, and family centered care.  The midwives work in partnership with the rest of our healthcare team to ensure seamless care for each patient.  Midwives are recognized throughout the world as an integral component of a safe maternity care system.

  • Gynecologic Services/Reproductive Health

One of the many privileges of specializing in women’s health includes care for women throughout their lifetime.  We provide the full spectrum of care in women’s health.  This begins as early as adolescence, with counseling on preventative health services and menstrual health, and addressing individual questions and concerns.  Gynecologic care then continues throughout the reproductive years and into menopause.  This includes preventive healthcare, contraceptive and hormonal management, and maintenance of sexual health.  Our women’s health team members are highly skilled in managing gynecologic conditions and work with to determine the best individualized treatment plan.

  • Minimally Invasive Surgery

Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery is the use of less invasive techniques, such as laparoscopy or hysteroscopy, to surgically treat gynecologic conditions. Minimally invasive techniques require no or only a few small incisions, rather than one large incision. Our board-certified OB/GYNs are experienced in minimally invasive surgery and bring patients the highest level care.

  • Menopausal Management

While menopause is a normal process, the physical and mental changes that occur can be frustrating.  Our compassionate and skilled women’s health team are available to address hormonal and nonhormonal treatment options, sexual dysfunction and menopausal health risks.
